IDIS Europe Welcomes Brian Lee as New Managing Director
IDIS Europe is charting a course for wider adoption of AI video surveillance, and Brian Lee is the man at the helm. The company has announced Lee’s appointment as its new Managing Director, signaling a strengthened commitment to delivering high-performance, value-driven security solutions.
Lee steps into the role after serving as Senior VP of Marketing & Sales Development for IDIS Americas in Dallas, where he spearheaded growth across North America and Latin America. His experience also includes a stint at IDIS headquarters as Head of the Global Strategy Team for the South Korean video technology giant.
Now, Lee’s focus shifts to building upon IDIS’s existing success in Europe. His strategy involves an expanded sales force, a revitalized marketing and public relations approach, and further cultivation of IDIS’s network of integration partners throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
Lee emphasizes that his appointment coincides with a period of significant innovation for IDIS. The company has recently unveiled a suite of video technologies powered by IDLA Pro, its proprietary next-generation deep learning engine. These advancements include the Edge AI Plus cameras, IDIS A-Cut/AI search, and Smart Privacy Masks, all designed to boost efficiency and make AI video surveillance more accessible to a wider range of users.
“In recent months, IDIS AI-powered tech innovations have continued to make a powerful case for surveillance system upgrades, as well as supporting new users with easier real-time video search functions, more accurate live privacy masking, and more flexible, affordable adoption routes to reap the benefits of strengthened security and safety, and operational efficiency,” Lee explains.

Lee highlights the importance of proactive security measures, particularly as new regulations come into effect.
“As end-users in the UK and more widely look to upgrade their systems, including to ensure compliance with the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, our latest launches are designed to support more preventative and proactive security responses,” says Lee.
He further emphasizes IDIS’s dedication to providing customers with video solutions that are not only affordable but also reliable and highly effective.
A Wealth of Experience
Lee’s background includes a Directorship at LG Electronics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Korea University in Seoul, bringing valuable experience to his new leadership role.
