Salto, a global leader in advanced access control solutions, has announced the strategic appointment of Bernie Low as its new Business Unit Lead for Southeast Asia (SEA). This significant move follows an extensive search for an accomplished regional leader to propel Salto’s burgeoning presence across the dynamic SEA market. Operating from Singapore, Low is poised to significantly bolster Salto’s leadership footprint and drive the continuous expansion of the innovative Salto Wecosystem partner and customer network across key markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Low brings over two decades of invaluable senior leadership experience gleaned from both multinational corporations and agile SME environments. His distinguished career is marked by a robust background in regional business management, intricate multi-country operations, astute B2B sales leadership, and the proven ability to cultivate high-performing teams. Throughout his professional journey, Low has consistently held senior roles with full profit and loss (P&L) accountability, expertly overseeing substantial business growth, enhancing organisational performance, and delivering exceptional commercial outcomes across a diverse spectrum of industries, including technology, manufacturing, automation, logistics, construction, and security.
Prior to joining Salto, Low served as a Country Manager, where he spearheaded operations across numerous Southeast Asian markets, driving successful restructuring initiatives, championing data-driven decision-making, and orchestrating significant key-account growth. His tenure as General Manager saw him adeptly managing a comprehensive organisational portfolio spanning operations, finance, HR, and contracts for a major multi-disciplinary enterprise. Furthermore, as Head of Sales, he was instrumental in steering project performance and crafting effective channel strategies across Singapore and its neighbouring markets.
Academically, Low is exceptionally qualified, holding a Master of Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, and a Diploma in Electronics, Communications and Computer Engineering.
