Motorola Solutions Unites Security and Incident Response with ‘Inform’

Motorola Solutions Unveils AI-Powered Security Solutions at GSX 2025

New Orleans, LA – September 29, 2025 – At GSX 2025, Motorola Solutions is showcasing its latest innovations in AI-assisted incident response, designed to lighten the load for security operators managing complex security deployments. These solutions seamlessly integrate across on-premise, cloud-based, and third-party security systems.

A key highlight is Inform, a platform marking the first step in unifying the Avigilon open-architecture security suite. Inform aggregates data from Avigilon and other third-party solutions, providing a comprehensive view of the entire physical security ecosystem. By orchestrating actions based on data from video security and access control systems on a single screen, Inform enables faster, more decisive incident responses through integrated communications, including radio systems.

“Security operations centers are often overwhelmed by fragmented systems and data overload, leading to reactive firefighting across disconnected tools,” explains Jehan Wickramasuriya, Senior Vice President, Security & Resilience Software, Motorola Solutions. “Inform is revolutionizing enterprise security by driving a shift toward intelligent, unified operations. By combining Avigilon Unity and Avigilon Alta with AI-powered automation, security teams can move from simple detection to decisive action, transforming reactive operations into proactive, resilient systems.”

Mark Reed, Executive Director of Campus Support Operations at City of Hope Cancer Centers, emphasizes the critical need for context: “Connecting the dots across different security events to understand the bigger picture is a constant battle. We need contextualized, actionable insight, not more data. Inform’s ability to correlate separate alerts into a unified incident response is intelligence that will help our organization manage risk more proactively.”

Intelligent Incident Response

Inform empowers security teams to identify and respond to complex threats by intelligently grouping seemingly disparate events into a single, actionable incident. Imagine a scenario where multiple failed badge swipes occur at a facility. Inform can instantly mobilize nearby cameras, determine if the attempts are related to a single individual, alert security personnel via radio, and even share live information with public safety agencies’ real-time crime centers. This streamlined workflow ensures teams can act decisively with clarity and focus.

Adrian Arriaga, Director, System Security Services, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, highlights the importance of real-time data reconciliation: “During an incident, every second counts, and reconciling data across different security systems is a challenge. What excites us about Inform is how it uses AI to understand separate events across security systems – cloud, on-prem, and third-parties – to present a single, actionable workflow for what’s most important. That level of openness offers the freedom to scale new solutions without locking us into a particular technology.”

Avigilon Visual Alerts: Expanding Detection Capabilities

Also debuting at GSX is Avigilon Visual Alerts, an on-premises, generative AI-powered solution designed to significantly expand the range of detectable visual events. For example, a hospital security team can easily create an alert for “wandering patients near an exit.” When the system detects such incidents, Visual Alerts enhances Inform’s ability to assist both clinical and security staff with triaging and responding effectively.

“We believe Inform and Visual Alerts are complementary and significant steps toward increasing the capabilities of underlying security infrastructure and orchestrating response to help multiple teams save time and prioritize action,” adds Wickramasuriya.

Responsible AI

Motorola Solutions emphasizes its commitment to the responsible design and use of AI, underscored by the company’s AI labeling initiative. This initiative, a first for public safety and enterprise security products, provides transparent information about how AI is utilized across its technologies.

Visitors to GSX 2025 can experience live demonstrations of Inform, Visual Alerts, and other AI-assisted technologies within Motorola Solutions’ enterprise security ecosystem at booth #1127.
