Jos Beernink appointed to lead HID’s Physical Access Control business in Europe, driving growth and innovation.

HID, a global leader in trusted identity solutions, has announced the appointment of Jos Beernink as Vice President for its Physical Access Control (PACS) business in Europe.

In his new role, Beernink will spearhead HID’s strategy, sales, and operations across Europe, empowering organizations to leverage cutting-edge identity and access control technologies. His mission: to foster secure, smarter, and more efficient workplaces and physical spaces.

Beernink brings a wealth of experience to HID, boasting over 25 years of international leadership in the technology and security sectors. His impressive career encompasses sales, go-to-market strategies, and general management roles at prominent companies, including Atari, Tech Data, Samsung Electronics, Honeywell Security & Fire, Genetec, and Milestone Systems (part of Canon Group).

Since joining HID, Beernink has focused on bolstering the company’s European presence through strategic alignment with channel partners, enhanced support for enterprise end-users, expansion of sales and engineering teams, and sustained investment in key growth verticals, including data centers, critical infrastructure, healthcare, government, and smart buildings.

Beernink holds a business degree in Commercial Economics and studied Business Administration in the Netherlands. He has also completed executive programs at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and Nyenrode University, where he published research on strengthening boardroom preparedness for cyber risks.

Outside his professional endeavors, Beernink is a licensed private pilot, an avid runner, and an active board member of his local Lions International chapter, reflecting his passion for technology, travel, and community service.
