Intersec 2025: Record-Breaking Security Show!

Intersec Wraps Up Record-Breaking 26th Edition in Dubai

Dubai played host to the 26th edition of Intersec, the world’s leading security, safety, and fire protection trade fair, which concluded last month after a hugely successful run. The event, a key indicator of future trends in the industry, saw a record number of exhibitors from 61 countries converge at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Intersec 2024 drew an impressive 47,300 visitors from 142 countries. The show floor, which was 20% larger than last year at 61,000 sqm, buzzed with cutting-edge technologies and vital solutions showcased across five crucial sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cyber Security, and Homeland Security & Policing. All of this was in line with the event’s theme of ‘Mapping the Future of Security, Safety, and Fire Protection.’

Wajahat Hussain, Show Manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expressed his delight at the event’s success: “My team and I are thrilled to have hosted such an unprecedented gathering of industry professionals from across the globe. Intersec has once again cemented its position as the premier platform where global leaders, innovators, and experts come together to share knowledge, build partnerships, and explore the innovative advancements that are shaping the future of safety, security, and fire protection.”

Hussain added, “Surpassing previous exhibitor records underscores Intersec’s growing influence and its pivotal role in driving forward-thinking solutions for a safer, more secure world. This milestone highlights our commitment to fostering collaboration, showcasing pioneering technologies, and establishing new benchmarks for excellence within this vitally important industry.”

New Initiatives Take Center Stage

This year’s Intersec saw the successful launch of several new initiatives. The two-day Intersec Policing Conference featured over 50 expert speakers, including senior law enforcement officials from the Abu Dhabi Police, INTERPOL, the Metropolitan Police, and the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit. Discussions centered on crucial topics like policing in the digital age, proactive and productive policing strategies, the future of road safety, strategic automation in policing, drone operations, and quantum-led crime.

Another debut was the CISO Business Briefing, which welcomed top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from the region to delve into the key trends, threats, and opportunities in information security. H.E Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, delivered the opening keynote address.

Startup Arena Fuels Innovation

In a groundbreaking partnership with Ignyte, Intersec launched the Intersec Startup Arena, providing startups with a unique platform to showcase their disruptive ideas and solutions to industry leaders, government representatives, and top-tier investors. The arena facilitated strategic partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and potential investments for participating startups.

MoUs Signed, Partnerships Forged

Intersec 2025 also served as a catalyst for collaboration, with numerous Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed between companies such as Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, Nordon, Saudi Sicli, ASIS International, Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA), Gallagher, Sharjah Civil Defence, NAFFCO, and UXE Security Solutions.

Celebrating Excellence at the Intersec Awards

The 4th annual Intersec Awards recognized individuals, teams, and organizations that have set new standards of excellence within critical industries. Notable winners included Dubai Civil Defense, NAFFCO, Dubai Municipality, Ministry of Interior, Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC, and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).

Mark your calendars: Intersec will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 12 – 14, 2026.
