IDIS unveils new AI-powered PTZ cameras with auto-tracking for smarter, more efficient surveillance across diverse environments.

IDIS, a leading South Korean surveillance manufacturer, has expanded its PTZ camera range with two new advanced models boasting powerful AI and NIR performance, offering enhanced surveillance solutions for various settings. These new NDAA-compliant cameras are designed to efficiently cover open areas in locations such as public spaces, commercial offices, schools, logistics centers, retail environments, and perimeters.

The latest additions include the 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA and the Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA), complementing IDIS’s recently launched Edge AI Plus 8MP and 6MP cameras.

## AI-Driven Precision and Efficiency

Both PTZ models are equipped with IDIS Deep Learning Analytics (IDLA), powered by the company’s proprietary IDIS Deep Learning Engine. This technology is engineered to assist operators and control rooms by providing more precise monitoring of activities and events. Key features include AI auto-tracking, which automatically detects and classifies objects in real-time, accurately distinguishing between humans, vehicles, and irrelevant background elements like shadows, animals, or moving foliage.

Upon detecting a target, the PTZ camera locks on and follows it across its field of view, dynamically adjusting the zoom and angle. Operators can select targets automatically via event triggers or manually using client software. The auto-tracking function can also be coordinated across multiple cameras, ensuring seamless target tracking from one scene to another.

## Enhanced Surveillance Capabilities

IDLA enhances surveillance efficiency with automated functions such as object detection, intruder detection, and loitering detection. By accurately differentiating between humans, vehicles, and other objects, the IDIS AI PTZs reduce false alarms, expedite investigations and searches, and streamline the export of forensic evidence. The inclusion of two-way audio further supports faster incident response and a more proactive approach to threat detection and deterrence.

Both PTZ cameras incorporate IDIS’s Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), which minimizes blur and maintains exceptional image quality, even during rapid pan-and-tilt movements and zoom transitions. Additionally, IDIS Smart Failover ensures continuous recording during network interruptions.

Designed for outdoor use, the 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA features an NIR night vision range of up to 400 meters. Its IK10 vandal-proof construction and IP66 environmental ratings protect against water, corrosion, dust, and ice, making it ideal for demanding commercial and industrial environments, perimeters, parking lots, and public surveillance applications.

### Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA)

The Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) offers an NIR range of up to 100 meters. Its compact and sleek design allows for easy installation in confined spaces, making it suitable for high-end environments with challenging lighting conditions. This model provides discreet yet high-performance AI-powered pan, tilt, and zoom functionality.
