Global security and access solutions provider dormakaba has significantly strengthened its position in the burgeoning airport sector with the strategic acquisition of Airsphere GmbH. Airsphere, an international software powerhouse renowned for its cutting-edge passenger management systems, brings to dormakaba an expanded portfolio of established software solutions critical for automating passenger processes, streamlining airport logistics, and fortifying critical infrastructure security. This pivotal move underscores dormakaba’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and safety in the aviation industry.

Established in 2010 in Seefeld, Germany, Airsphere has carved out a niche as a leader in passenger process automation. Its comprehensive suite of software solutions is currently deployed at over 250 airports globally. A testament to its robust capabilities, Airsphere’s technology is trusted by a host of leading international hubs, including prestigious names like London Heathrow, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Beijing, Newark, Orlando, Vienna, Zurich, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangalore.

Despite the acquisition, Airsphere, with its dedicated team of approximately 20 professionals, will maintain independent operations in the market, continuing to serve its established client base while also extending its expertise to dormakaba’s extensive customer network.
