Acre Security, a global name in integrated security tech, has officially announced Kumar Sokka as its new Chief Executive Officer. The move signifies a carefully planned leadership transition, underscoring Acre’s commitment to sustained growth, innovation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Since joining Acre in early 2024, Sokka has been instrumental in managing two of the company’s vital business units – Comnet and Intrusion. As a key member of the executive leadership team, he brings over 20 years of expertise in scaling enterprise software businesses, spearheading digital innovation, and cultivating high-performing, customer-focused teams.
Sokka takes the reins from John Skowronski, who stepped in as Interim CEO in August 2024. Skowronski played a crucial role in refining Acre’s market execution and product strategy. He will now transition to an advisory role on the Board of Directors, where he will continue to contribute to the company’s long-term vision.
Sokka’s Vision for Acre’s Future
As CEO, Sokka is set to guide the company through its next phase of expansion from its base in Plano, Texas. His priorities include strengthening relationships with customers and partners, and pushing forward a unified platform strategy. This strategy aims to seamlessly connect current systems with the connected ecosystems of the future. By integrating access control, identity verification, and intrusion detection, Acre aims to provide customers with adaptable security solutions that don’t compromise on reliability.
A Word from the New CEO
“It’s an honor to take on this role at such a pivotal time for Acre,” Sokka stated. “We have a solid groundwork and an exceptional team. Our focus now is on clarity, precision, and execution — staying connected to our customers, boosting innovation, and exploring the future of security. I’m enthusiastic about what we can achieve together.”
