ISC West Kicks Off: Security’s Cutting Edge and Expanded Learning Await

ISC West 2025, the security industry’s premier event, is gearing up to open its doors on April 2nd. This year’s edition promises a deep dive into the latest innovations, solutions, and educational programs, offering security professionals a comprehensive look at what’s shaping the future of the industry. Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect.

For years, ISC West has cemented its position as the leading trade show in the security realm. Annually, the event draws a massive crowd of industry players to the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas. The 2025 show, held from April 2nd to 4th, will host over 700 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge products and solutions spanning video surveillance, access control, cybersecurity, and more.

A notable addition to this year’s show is the expanded SIA Education@ISC program. This prestigious seminar and conference series, running alongside ISC West, has been extended from its original three days to four, taking place from March 31st to April 3rd. Event organizers are touting it as the “most expansive SIA Education@ISC program to date.” The program boasts over 140 sessions featuring 290 speakers, who will share insights on a wide range of trending issues and topics in security.

Keynotes

A consistent highlight of ISC West is the keynote series, where industry leaders and experts address critical topics. This year’s lineup is particularly strong. Rachel Wilson, Director of Cybersecurity at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, will kick things off on Day One (April 2nd) with a discussion on the rapidly evolving challenges in the digital threat landscape. Retail security will also take center stage, a perennial concern for retailers focused on reducing losses and enhancing business intelligence. Will Bernhjelm, VP of Security at Mall of America, will speak on Day 2, exploring the unique security challenges faced by the iconic Minnesota-based mall and the technologies and strategies employed to maintain safety.

Exhibition

The heart of ISC West lies in its exhibitors, showcasing the latest products and solutions that reflect the industry’s hottest trends. Hanwha Vision, for example, will demonstrate its AI analytics in IP camera applications, enabling advanced detection, search, data analysis, and imaging. They will also highlight their new cloud-based capabilities, offering security professionals greater flexibility in managing their surveillance resources.

Speaking of cloud technology, OpenEye will present its intelligent cloud video technology, OpenEye Web Services, designed to simplify video deployment and deliver proactive insights that improve security and boost the user’s bottom line. Given the rise in active shooter incidents across US campuses and other facilities, Shooter Detection Systems will showcase its new SDS Perimeter Outdoor Gunshot Detection System and conduct demos highlighting both on-premises and cloud-based gunshot detection solutions.

Fringe events

Finally, several events will complement the main show. The SIA New Products + Solutions (NPS) Awards will recognize products and solutions that demonstrate the evolution of the security industry and the growing convergence of physical and cybersecurity. The AI Discovery Zone will feature the latest AI-powered solutions from companies such as Alcatraz AI and Axis Communications. And following its successful debut last year with The Wallflowers, the ISC West Concert returns, this year featuring Gin Blossoms, whose hit single “Follow You Down” dominated the charts in the 1990s. The concert will take place on April 2nd at 5 p.m.
