Security & Fire Expo Readies for Record-Breaking Edition in Milan
From November 19 to 21, Fiera Milano will transform into the epicenter of security and fire innovation as SICUREZZA gears up for what promises to be its most impressive edition yet. The event solidifies its position as a key European benchmark, boasting significant comebacks, exciting new participants, and a revamped training program.
SICUREZZA 2025 is expanding its reach, reinforcing its presence, and casting an increasingly international gaze. With two months still to go, the exhibition space has already grown by an impressive 18% compared to 2023. International exhibitors have surged by 28%, now representing 31% of the total, with companies hailing from 24 countries. These figures underscore the event’s global appeal and its capacity to explore the latest frontiers in both physical and digital security.
Visitors can expect to discover cutting-edge innovations and previews across the board – from video surveillance and fire prevention to access control and passive security – thanks to a robust and highly qualified exhibitor lineup. Industry giants like Inim and Tecnoalarm are among the Italian companies returning, while international heavyweights such as Notifier and Hikvision are also making their comeback.
The event’s growing allure is further evidenced by the numerous new entrants, including Italian firms like Gams (Bettini) and Combivox, and international players such as Assa Abloy and Carrier Fire & Security.
With a fresh layout and an increasingly hands-on approach, SICUREZZA 2025 is set to reaffirm its role as an innovation hub for the security and fire sectors, bringing together professionals, businesses, and stakeholders to exchange ideas, strategies, and practical solutions.
A World of Technologies: Integration, Cybersecurity, Customization
The digital revolution, the rising tide of artificial intelligence, the embrace of data-driven strategies, and the urgent need for comprehensive cyber resilience are reshaping the very definition of security. This evolving perspective will be a central theme throughout the exhibition, showcasing AI-integrated video surveillance and access control systems, predictive monitoring solutions, advancements in video content analysis, edge-cloud platforms for distributed security, and increasingly precise control mechanisms.
Technology integration will take center stage, enabling the management of increasingly complex systems that enhance both safety and operational efficiency. Simultaneously, the need for robust protection against cyber threats will be brought into sharper focus.
Developments in fire and safety technologies will also be highlighted, featuring new high-sensitivity fire detection systems, wireless smoke and gas detection systems, and platforms for remote control and predictive maintenance management. Drones, now indispensable tools for environmental monitoring and fire prevention, will also be on display. These are not mere gadgets, but sophisticated autonomous platforms capable of gathering, transmitting, and analyzing data in real time.
Finally, the trend toward customized solutions is becoming increasingly apparent. Companies are moving beyond simply offering products, positioning themselves as consulting partners who can understand their clients’ specific needs and design bespoke, modular systems.
Three Thematic Days, One Goal: Creating a System
The 2025 edition will introduce a new format, structured around three thematic days designed to cater to the diverse needs of the sector’s various segments.
November 19 will be Cyber Day, featuring meetings and events focused on the growing convergence of physical and digital threats. Discussions will cover the strategic and cross-cutting role of cybersecurity, operational strategies for safeguarding the entire supply chain, and the market impact of the new European directives NIS 2 and CER – essential pillars for ensuring the resilience and protection of networks, IT systems, and essential services.
November 20 will be Security Day, with discussions centered on technologies applied in high-risk real-world scenarios such as transportation, finance, major events, and cultural heritage. Integrated solutions for video surveillance, access control, intrusion prevention, behavioral AI, and system interoperability will be explored. The day will also examine emerging professional roles demanded by the market, such as Travel Security Managers and Cultural Security Managers, who combine technological, organizational, and regulatory expertise in their respective fields.
November 21 will be Job in Security Day, dedicated to fostering connections between schools, technical institutes, and companies in the security sector. In an increasingly competitive market, companies are reporting a shortage of adequately trained professionals, while schools and technical institutes are challenged to provide students with up-to-date, practical tools to guide them toward future careers. This day aims to create tangible opportunities for dialogue to bridge the gap between education and the workplace.
The EDU Project will address this challenge with targeted activities, including company presentations, short interviews, workshops, and dialogue sessions between students, teachers, and businesses. The program is being developed in close collaboration with exhibitors and educational institutions, with the initial phase focused on listening and assessing needs to define the required profiles and key skills. This day will provide a concrete platform for companies and schools to meet, highlighting their respective strengths and fostering constructive and realistic dialogue.
All SICUREZZA 2025 training events will take place in the Cyber & Security Arena, a multifunctional space hosting talks, case studies, demonstrations, and roundtables featuring experts, leading companies, public bodies, and trade associations. Complementing the training program will be the Security Talks organized by the Italian trade associations AISS, AIPS, ANIE Sicurezza, and ConFederSicurezza, focusing on regulations, trends, and future scenarios, along with ASSIV podcasts offering insights into technology, training, public-private synergies, and innovation in the private security sector.
The Value of Synergies
SICUREZZA 2025 will be part of MIBA – Milan International Building Alliance, held concurrently with GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition, MADE Expo, and SMART BUILDING EXPO. Thanks to the synergies created among these events, MIBA will transform Fiera Milano into an international hub for discussions on the evolution of buildings and cities.
