In an exclusive interview with a&s Magazine, Arthur Fu, Co-President of HOLOWITS, shares insights at Intersec.

The 26th edition of Intersec, the world’s premier event for security, safety, and fire protection, took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 14th to 16th, 2025. This year’s edition was the largest in its history, featuring over 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries and attracting more than 52,000 visitors from over 140 nations. The event showcased a wide array of cutting-edge products and technologies, including AI-driven cameras, solar-powered surveillance devices, thermal imaging systems, drones, and smart access control systems.

At the event, a&s had the opportunity to speak with HOLOWITS, a Singapore-based brand with a strong international presence. HOLOWITS began expanding into the Middle East in 2022, focusing on markets such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and Turkey.

HOLOWITS showcased significant advancements in their security camera technology at Intersec 2025. The company presented two product lines: one tailored for large-scale projects like smart cities and transportation systems, and another designed for cost-effective, channel-based solutions that offer high-quality performance at competitive prices. These products have seen successful implementation in closed-loop systems and intelligent transportation projects, and the company is now focusing on expanding its reach through local partnerships to enhance market penetration and post-operation maintenance.

Adapting to the unique challenges of the Middle East, such as extreme temperatures and varying infrastructure levels, HOLOWITS has emphasized product adaptability and quality. They believe in leveraging local partners to navigate these challenges effectively.

In another development, Messe Frankfurt and CCPIT Shanghai are set to host the inaugural Intersec Shanghai from May 13th to 15th, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This new trade fair aims to connect the Chinese market with global leaders in security, fire protection, and safety solutions, leveraging the latest advancements in IoT and AI.
